White earthenware with terra sigillata, oxides, colored slips, underglazes, built in hollow sections stacked on a steel rod embedded in black concrete. Tree Totem III is part of a series that followed the events of 9/11.  It is about the hope and resilience that comes in the aftermath of utter destruction.
