These splendid leaves, with their changing colors, will also serve as inspiration for a special art project that my 5th graders will start soon.
Close observation can be an important part of the creative process.
Here are some clues as to who this famous artist might be...Look on the right hand side and you will see a metal structure that looks a bit like a tree. surrounded by red scaffolding. This structure will not be visible when this art work is completed in time for a special ceremony on Thursday afternoon welcoming it to the city of Greenville . Another clue is that the rainy weather this week is very appropriate, as the artist lives in a city known for having lots of rainfall. The last clue is that this artist does not work alone. He is surrounded by many assistants. Have you figured out who it is yet? If not, I will reveal the artist's name and the pictures of the installed sculpture soon after the Thursday ceremony and installation of this exciting new addition to our city!
