Alice R. Ballard

Metamorphosis of Nature's Forms

Vessels

In each work Ballard shares the evolutionary process of the selected medium. Areas are seemingly left unfinished in a way that describes the work as an object and offers clues to its construction. As simple contemplations these forms clearly originate in the mysteriously complex colors, rhythms, and patterns of the coastal regions, plains and mountains of South Carolina.
