Magnolia Petal Plate with Seed and Magnolia Pod, white earthenware, terra sigillata and oxide

Magnolia Petal Plate with Seed and Magnolia Pod, white earthenware, terra sigillata and oxide

In conjunction with "The Allure of Flowers", I will be giving a special Master Class called "Botanical Forms" that will include some simple hand building exercises along with a demo on how to make and use terra sigillata (Greek for earth seal).  This is your chance to not only make work in clay but you can make your own set of colored terra sigillata test tiles.  We will also have a chance to see 2 pieces of my work from the Mint's permanent collection that are in the exhibition along with the rest of the show.  I hope you can join me for this special experience.

The class is on Wednesday, March 26th from 5-8 and from 10-5 on Thursday, March 27th.  Materials will be provided and one hour renewal credit will be available for teachers.  It is $140 for members and $160 for non-members.
